1953 Amelio Vinci invented the first string-winding
machine. This invention enhanced winding accuracy,
creating even string tension resulting in better sounding
strings. Today
most manufacturers are still using the same automated
string winding machines that Vinci created nearly
fifty years ago. Vinci
classical guitar strings are used by concert guitarists
worldwide for their brilliance and responsiveness.
Vinci uses the highest grade of rectified Nugut nylon
for the treble strings and a pressure wound silver
and brass cover winding for bass string. This combination
assures the best possible tone production and extended
life string.
